BUY a bouquet of flowers from one of the vendors to take on the ship. They may be able to improvise with a vase for you, nothing you can keep, but do buy a bouquet. They are all reasonable, they will last for your cruise.
By now you have booked your table on the cruise, if not do. Always hard to decide what to do, table for two? Table for four? Table for eight. We have done all the possible seating arrangements. It’s a gamble, meaning you could be seated at the table with someone who has decided to have a dinner forum on politics, or you could be at a table with children, or you could be sitting with a very shy couple, not eager to talk. Know you can have it changed. However, give it a try. One of our earlier cruises we had teenage children and sat with a group of four early twenty young women. We had the best time with them each dinner, we joined them at cruise events and when our son played his guitar at a ship Talent show, they were the loudest to whistle and clap.
The two of us alone at a table was nice, but having the opportunity to meet someone would have equally been nice.
Remember that your bottle of wine you have for dinner, can be saved for the following night. Oh dear, something I knew nothing about until we had consumed a bottle of wine each dinner for four nights.
